ISO 15552:2004 established a metric series of basic, mounting and accessories dimensions as required for interchangeability of single- or double-rod pneumatic cylinders, with or without provision for magnetic sensors for a maximum rated pressure of 1 000 kPa (10 bar)
It is applicable to pneumatic cylinders with detachable mountings.

ISO 15552 was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 131, Fluid power systems, Subcommittee SC 3, Cylinders.

This first edition of ISO 15552 cancels and replaces ISO 6431:1992.

ISO 21287:2004 establishes a metric series of single rod pneumatic compact cylinders with bores of 20 mm to 100 mm for use of at maximum working pressure of 1 000 kPa (10 bar) with and without magnetic function. This series of pneumatic cylinder is not equipped with adjustable cushioning. Therefore, the application is restricted to those systems where adjustable cushioning is not required.
Cylinders with bores of 20 mm and 25 mm can be used with end cover mountings in accordance with ISO 21287:2004. Cylinders with bores from 32 mm to 100 mm can be used with end cover mountings in accordance with ISO 15552. Piston rod mountings can be used for the different bores in accordance with ISO 8139 and ISO 8140.

Gives the following mounting styles: MR3, MP3, MS3, MF8 (tables 2 and 3, figures 2 and 3). Figure 1 and table 1 contain the basic dimensions.
